Bolden Group was appointed by One Vision Housing to enhance fire safety within communal areas by installing fire-rated loft hatches. This initiative was crucial to ensuring compliance with fire safety regulations while improving passive fire protection measures across multiple residential buildings.
Scope of Work
Our experienced team carried out a comprehensive range of tasks to enhance fire safety and compliance. We began with a detailed assessment and compliance check, surveying the existing loft hatches to evaluate their fire resistance and functionality. Any non-compliant or damaged hatches were removed and replaced with new fire-rated, lockable alternatives. All installations were designed to meet the required 30-minute fire resistance standard, ensuring full compliance with building regulations. To further enhance security and access control, we fitted secure locking mechanisms on each hatch. Finally, we conducted thorough post-installation inspections to verify compliance with BS 476 and Approved Document B fire safety standards, providing quality assurance and certification for all completed work.
