Inside Bolden

Bolden Group recently completed a bespoke front porch extension at Netherton Park Neighbourhood Centre. The centre plays a vital role in the local community and supports thousands of visitors each year. Our team designed and built the new entrance to improve both appearance and everyday functionality.

We created a brighter and more accessible entrance. The new structure improves first impressions and enhances the flow of foot traffic. It makes access easier for people of all ages and abilities. The extension integrates seamlessly with the existing building while respecting its character and purpose.

This project delivered more than a physical upgrade. It strengthened the centre’s presence within the community and improved the visitor experience. The entrance now provides safer and more efficient access to essential local services.

As part of our commitment to social value, Bolden Group donated £2,500 to support the centre’s ongoing programmes. We believe construction should deliver long-term benefits beyond the build itself. Supporting community organisations forms a core part of our values.

Netherton Park Neighbourhood Centre provides essential wraparound support to more than 2,000 people each year. Services include nursery provision, youth and play projects, wellbeing sessions for older residents, a community shop, and emergency crisis support for local families. The centre also hosts regular events that bring people together and reduce isolation.

With external funding becoming more limited, community investment plays a critical role in sustaining grassroots services. Our £2,500 contribution will help fund trips, events, and vital support programmes. It will also help local residents access the resources they need to thrive.

Staff at the centre praised the Bolden Group team for their professionalism, communication, and respectful conduct on site. We maintained a tidy, safe, and organised working environment throughout the project. We also completed the works ahead of schedule, which reduced disruption and allowed the centre to continue operating with minimal interruption.
